Patented Propolis Extract

In 2013, APIVITA won an Innovation Award for the Patent of Propolis Extract against Premature Aging (Patent No. 1007520), resulting from years of experience and the company’s extensive know-how on apicultural products. For the first time, the active ingredients of propolis are encapsulated in cyclodextrin in order to achieve the maximum and stable concentration of the flavonoids and polyphenols it contains in the end product. With an effectiveness verified by 8 clinical studies, this particularly powerful antioxidant and anti-aging extract moderates considerably the influence of free radicals, increases skin vitality and enhances the production of collagen and elastin.

Base made of plant infusions - Patented infusion of a combination of 3 sideritis species

Cosmetic products consist of 70% water. At APIVITA we replace water with plant infusions so that every product is rich in antioxidants and other active ingredients that boost its effectiveness. For the patented infusion of three types of sideritis, we selected three different mountain tea varieties (Sideritis Scardica, Sideritis Perfoliata, Sideritis Raeseri), collected from organic cultivations on Mount Olympus, an area ideal for the cultivation of sideritis. This infusion boosts the antioxidant, moisturizing and photoprotective properties of the product.
Clinical in vitro studies have shown that:

• It activates sirtuins, proteins with anti-aging properties that contribute to the repair of cell damage.
• It activates aquaporines, water exchange channels which are important for skin moisturization.

USE

1. Use the product before each exposure1 to the sun. Apply a sufficient quantity (2mg/cm², approx. 3 teaspoons for the face and the body) and re-apply frequently, especially after sweating, swimming or drying the skin with a towel.

2. By reducing the recommended quantity, you significantly reduce the protection provided by the product. 

3. Do not spray directly onto the face.
